Hyundai E&C achieved a significant milestone by becoming the “Winner” in the Space category for the Olympic Park Foreon’s ‘Artistic Bosque” and “Slow Garden” at the “K-Design Award 2024”, becoming the only single residential complex to win two awards in this category.
The K-Design Award, launched in 2012, is recognized as one of the three leading design awards in Asia, alongside Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award and Hong Kong’s Design for Asia Awards. This year, 2,627 product entries from 23 countries were submitted, and 313 were selected as winners through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by over 33 esteemed judges from 10 countries, focusing on identifying market-competitive designs.
[ Artistic Bosque ]
The first winning design, Artistic Bosque, is a specialized garden that blends rough, rustic natural materials with refined sculptures to craft an artistic and contemporary landscape. The stainless steel mirror wall set above a grass and gravel garden in a maple grove with stunning fall foliage enhances the sense of space, while the thoughtful placement of 3D-printed benches and ornamental reeds for nighttime scenery has also been highly praised.
[ Slow Garden ]
Another award-winning design, Slow Garden, is a thoughtfully crafted space that encourages visitors to walk, pause, and reflect, blending well-organized greenery with layered, linear mounds. These mounds, featuring neutral-toned paving and rich green shrubs and herbaceous flowers enhanced by the natural placement of crape myrtle trees with their distinctive stems and flowers, creating a dynamic, multi-dimensional landscape that garnered the garden its acclaim.
Meanwhile, Hyundai E&C has proven its design competitiveness in the area of landscaping by winning numerous awards in the past three years from the world’s top three design awards -“DEA”, “iF”, and “Red Dot Design Awards” - and becoming the first Korean builder to be selected for the “American Good Design Award”, alongside a range of other prestigious domestic and international design honors.
A Hyundai E&C representative shared, “We are excited to have our apartment garden design recognized for its excellence by a prestigious Asian design award,” and continued, “We remain committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through elegant, eco-friendly landscaping designs that prioritize sustainability.”
