Hyundai E&C is well aware of the socio-economic impact effected by the climate change and has considered the changes on the construction market and opinion of shareholders to be important. Hyundai E&C is willing to take a leap toward being the "Global Green One Pioneer" by proactively reacting to climate change and lead a sustainable future as a top global construction company by announcing the first declaration of carbon neutrality among the listed companies of construction sector in Korea.
We will reexamine our reduction target every 5 years in the light of the advancement of carbon neutrality across the entire construction value chain.
Hyundai E&C has set out the implementation strategy to achieve the carbon neutrality, G-OPIS, under the vision of "Global Green One Pioneer: Net Zero by 2045”. The aforementioned strategy consists of 1) Green Operation, 2) Green Portfolio, 3) Green Investment and 4) Green Spread, and includes step-by-step action plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and expand the green business portfolio.

Hyundai E&C has been monitoring climate-related issues through the Corporate Governance & Transparent Management Committee which is composed of the Board of Directors, and the Sustainability Management Council has reported the issues to the committee periodically. Also, Hyundai E&C takes a look at the implementation process to assure that carbon neutrality can be conducted continuously. The Sustainability Management Council is strengthening its ability to respond to climate change by identifying the weaknesses and improving it systematically, using the assessment indicators and standards of global climate change such as CDP, SASB, TCFD and etc.
